HOUSTON – A popular bar promoter was shot and killed in the parking lot of a gentlemen’s club in southwest Houston early Saturday, according to Houston police.
Police said the man was leaving the Palace Club on Bissonet near the Southwest Freeway around 2 a.m.
He was walking to his car when he heard an acquaintance call out his name.
Witnesses said the acquaintance walked up to the promoter, shot him several times in the torso, then fled the scene. The suspect remains on the loose.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
