HOUSTON – Authorities were investigating after a building partially collapsed in southeast Houston on Saturday.

HFD said workers were inside the Republic Bag of Texas building in the 8400 block of Tewantin around 12:45 p.m. when a section of the roof collapsed.

Authorities said everyone got out safely.

The cause of the collapse was unknown.

Haz-Mat was called to the scene as a precaution since water and gas lines run through the ceiling.

Additional details were not immediately available.
