A Houston nurse has been jailed for allegedly punching a nursing home resident in the mouth. Vickie Randall, 45, was arrested on Feb. 14 and charged with assaulting an elderly woman.

HOUSTON – A Houston nurse has been jailed for allegedly punching a nursing home resident in the mouth.

Vickie Randall, 45, was arrested on Feb. 14 and charged with assaulting an elderly woman.

The victim lives at Park Manor Westchase nursing home in the 11900 block of Richmond.

She told police that Randall, a nurse at the facility, was taking her to the restroom. The woman said she was trying to lift the brake on her wheelchair and Randall became angry and hit her.

The victim was left with a bruised and swollen face and mouth, but wasn’t seriously injured.

Randall’s bond was set at $5,000.
