HOUSTON—Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials raided several Houston businesses Tuesday as part of a city-wide immigration bust.

Shortly after 9 a.m., ICE agents raided People’s Express in the 7200 block of Long Drive and took a number of people into custody.
Agents believe the building was being used as a stash house for human cargo.  ICE also confiscated an undisclosed number of dogs they believe were used to guard the people held inside the building.
Just down the road, ICE agents raided Ramirez Transportation in the 7700 block of Park Place.  Four people were taken into custody from that location.
ICE agents say they will be conducting similar raids all over the city throughout the day.  Everyone who is taken into custody will be processed at the ICE detention facility in north Houston.
