HOUSTON – Police say a 35-year-old woman pulled her terminally ill mother around the house by the legs after the mother confiscated the daughter’s computer.
Nakisha Johnson is charged with injury to an elderly person.
According to court documents, the incident happened at the victim’s home, located in the 11800 block of Spring Grove Drive, on January 13, 2012.
The victim told investigators that she has stage-four cancer, so her daughter had moved in with her to help her out.
But on January 13, 2012, the victim said she confiscated Johnson’s computer, because she suspected Johnson was hiding her mortgage papers.
The victim said later that day, Johnson confronted her and became enraged, grabbing a golf club and knocking holes in the wall with it.
The victim said she tried to leave, but Johnson grabbed her by the legs and pulled her around the house.
The victim’s exposed liver bio-duct tube reportedly moved while she was being pulled, causing her pain.
A neighbor said the victim came over after the incident to use her phone. She said the victim appeared to be shaken and upset.
Police who later went to the home said they saw multiple holes in the wall, presumably made with a golf club.
Charges were filed on January 31, 2012.
