LA MARQUE, Texas — As many as 10 gunmen abducted a woman from outside her friend’s residence Monday night, and police said they found her early Tuesday suffering from only minor injuries.
Police were called about 8:40 p.m. Monday to the 200 block of Taft Street, where officers learned the men arrived at the residence in two automobiles, La Marque police Sgt. Chad Waggoner said.
“Ten males pulled up, all having firearms, and took the female against her will,” Waggoner said. “Officers started the investigation, were able to track her down at 2:45 a.m. and were able to visibly see her to confirm she was no longer in danger.”
Police didn’t identify the woman or the name of the male friend she was visiting on Taft Street. The woman is 24 years old and lives in Texas City, Waggoner said.
