HOUSTON – Harris County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the hit-and run driver who killed a woman trying to cross a street in Katy Thursday night.
Deputies said a 78-year-old woman was crossing Mason Road near Interstate 10 around 7:45 p.m. when a man driving a gray-colored pickup hit her and kept going, deputies said.
She died at the scene.
Investigators said there’s no way the driver didn’t know he hit the woman.
