CYPRESS, Texas – A local man is accused of downloading child porn from the Internet.
Gregg Belcheff, 64, is charged with possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, investigators with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force identified an IP address on January 9, 2012, that was sharing what appeared to be child porn files. The IP address was traced to a home on Lindwood Manor Court in Cypress.
On January 20, investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the home.
Belcheff, who is married and lives at the home, reportedly admitted to downloading hundreds of images and videos of child pornography through file-sharing software.
Investigators said they found numerous files showing boys and girls as young as four engaging in sex acts on Belcheff’s computer.
Charges were filed on February 8, 2012.
Belcheff was out on bond Thursday.
