HOUSTON—Arctic air is on the way to Houston, and that means hard freezes and bitter cold for the entire area.
The northern counties are already under a hard freeze warning and the entire Houston area will see temps drop into the low-20s later this week.
"Although it’s cold now, it’s going to be much colder toward Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday," Paul said.
Wednesday’s high is expected to be in the mid-50s, with a low near freezing and a 30-percent chance for rain.
Paul said there will be a chance for some sleet Thursday morning before the precipitation moves out.
