HOUSTON—Less than 24 hours after a group of Langham Creek High School students attacked another student with a pipe, the parent of a high school senior is alleging that her son has also become a victim.
“He was jumped walking home from school,” she said, referring to the assault that took place Wednesday afternoon.
The mother, whose identity we agreed to conceal, filed a police report claiming that her son was nearly stabbed during the brawl. The victim is 17, and believes his attackers are part of an organized gang.
“They’ve been after me for weeks, always talking tough and threatening to jump me,” he said. His mother filed a police report and local authorities are investigating.
Both assaults on Wednesday occurred off campus. A Cy-Fair Independent School District spokesperson said the incidents took place beyond the jurisdiction of campus police. But she added that the school continues to look at ways to tighten up security and respond to safety concerns more efficiently.
But the mother of the 17-year-old has pulled both of her children out of Langham Creek High, and said they won’t be going back anytime soon.
“I’ve given them one chance after another, and this is the only way I can protect them,” she said.
