A tow truck driver faces a DWI charge after he crashed his vehicle into a power pole Friday and shut down part of the Metro rail service, Metro officials said.
The impact knocked lines down onto the track at about 3 a.m. near Fannin and Ewing in the Museum District area.
While repairs were being made, riders were transported between the Wheeler and Hermann Park/Rice U stations using one track, and a bus bridge was in place, Metro said.
The driver of the truck was transported to Ben Taub hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
