Mrs Baird’s Valentine’s French Toast With Strawberry Banana Sauce: 

8 Slices of Mrs Baird's Made With Whole Grain White Bread

3/4 Cup Low Fat Milk

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/2 Cup Egg Substitute

Powdered Sugar To Taste

Fresh mint (optional)

 

For Strawberry/Banana Sauce: 

1/2 Cup Orange Juice

1 Cup Strawberries (Sliced)

1 Cup Bananas (Sliced)

2 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar

 

Instructions:

Using a cookie cutter or kitchen scissors, cut each slice of Mrs Baird's Made With Whole Grain White bread into heart shapes. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla, cinnamon and egg substitute. Dip the bread slices on both sides into the egg mixture and cook on a non-stick griddle or skillet for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. 

 

For the Strawberry-Banana sauce, combine all ingredients in a saucepan, and cook for 5 to 6 minutes over medium heat, until warmed through.

 

Arrange french toast on a plate and dust with powdered sugar. Spoon strawberry-banana sauce over the toast or place in small ramekin on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh mint (optional).
