Poached Pears

 

Serving: ½ c

Pears                                                                                    1 each

Vinegar                                                                                 4 oz.

Sugar, Brown                                                                     2.5 oz.

Lemon  Juice                                                                      1 oz.

Vanilla                                                                                   ½ tsp

Cinnamon                                                                           ¼ tsp

 

Directions:

Step 1: Combine all ingredients, except for the pears and bring to a boil.

Step 2: Peel, deseed and cut pear in half.

Step 3: Once the vinegar mixture comes to a boil reduce heat and add the pear.

Step 4: Poach the pear for 8 – 10 mins until the pear is tender enough for a fork to poke through.

Step 5: Remove the pear and return the vinegar mixture to a boil and reduce by half.

Step 6: Plate each pear and pour half of the sauce reduction over each pear.
