Hometown Clarkston, Michigan
What was your dream job as a kid?
The Price is Right model, or a Dolphin Trainer
What is your favorite thing about Houston?
All the festivals, events, and activities. I’m new here, but I can’t wait to explore.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Chapstick, Diet Coke, but I’m trying to quit (again!) My family, my best friend, and my dog.
If you could trade lives with someone for a day, who would that be? Gayle King. Who wouldn’t want to be Oprah’s best friend and have a nice national gig on CBS This Morning?
What do you watch on TV?
So You Think You Can Dance, Smash, and when I have cable I watch reruns of Sex And The City and What Not To Wear.
Name one song that can make you get up and dance no matter where you are.
Jesse’s Girl by Rick Springfield. Oh, and I totally will dance and sing along no matter where we are, my camera guy can attest to that!
What is your hidden talent?
Home organization, dancing and gymnastics, and reciting Disney movie phrases in Japanese.
If you had a million bucks, what would you do with it?
I wouldn’t quit my job, because I love what I do! However, I would spend a lot more time on a beach somewhere, buy even more shoes, and open a competitive dance studio that offers scholarships to at-risk kids, or kids who cannot afford dance lessons.
If you could be any animal, what would it be?
A Lion – King of the Jungle, or an Eagle – wouldn’t it be cool to fly?
Share one of your favorite moments on Great Day Houston.
Every day is an adventure, but on my first day Deborah Duncan welcomed me with a bunch of Texas-themed presents including Aqua Net hairspray, bug spray, and Texas-shaped chips and salsa. It was great! Let’s just say that somehow, during that segment on live TV, a powdered Mrs. Baird’s donut ended up in her cleavage.
