HOUSTON - On Monday, local non-profit Sunshine Kids helped local teens battling cancer take flight at iFLY, the city's largest indoor skydiving operator.

“iFLY gives our Sunshine Kids an experience unlike any other,” said Mary Cameron Carroll, Assistant Director of Children’s Services at Sunshine Kids.

“Not only will they be able to get to know other teens who are going through the very same battle with cancer, but they are able to be free of any physical limitations and have fun being a kid. Our night at iFLY will be one we will not soon forget!” Carroll said.

Each flyer was assisted by specially-trained flight instructors who paid extra attention and provided accommodations based on each participant's needs.

Sunshine Kids is dedicated to organizing group activities and support for children with cancer around the U.S.
