HOUSTON - Part of the George R. Brown Convention Center is a now a giant garage!
The 58th annual Houston AutoRama “cranks up” Thanksgiving Day and runs through Sunday. Thousands of people will be able to check out more than 500 vehicles.
“I’d say we’ll get about 80,000 to 100,000 people,” said organizer Pete Toundas. “We have everything from diesel pick-up trucks to classic cars to custom cars and hot rods.”
Five cars from the movie “Fast & Furious 8” are also on display.
“The millennials really like those cars,” Toundas said.
Tickets are $18 at the door and $16 at any O’Reilly Auto Parts store.
“And this year, we’re going to bring back the outdoor AutoRama, which will be a cruise-in in front of the GRB that will have about 150 or 200 cars,” Toundas said.
