We all know how special it is to welcome a new baby into the world. Here at KHOU 11, we’ve been beyond blessed with a baby boom.
So far, 2017 has been full of baby bumps, baby showers and adorable photos of the newborns and their proud parents.
It started when Digital Sales Supervisor Sonya Hamilton and her husband welcomed the lovely Sienna Rose.
In February, KHOU 11 Sports reporter Daniel Gotera’s wife Rashi gave birth to a beautiful bouncing baby boy. Daniel says Rian Lincoln Gotera is already a big Texans, Astros, Rockets and Dynamo fan. And of course, Rian loves the Northwestern Wildcats, daddy’s alma mater.
Winnie, the darling daughter of KHOU 11 News 10 p.m. Executive Producer Molly Cuculich and husband Justin, also arrived in February.
KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Craft and hubby Lane welcomed Les William Craft in early March. The cutie pie weighed 9 pounds, 15 ounces and was 22.5 inches long. Chita loves motherhood but says she has new respect for all of the moms of the world.
She recently posted an update featuring her adorable son on Facebook:
Account Executive Chelsea Kerschen and husband Brad added Mia Grace to their family in late March. Big brother Max adores his baby sister, Chelsea says.
Our newest dad is Digital Investigative Producer Matt Keyser. He and wife Elissa became the proud parents of Emery Kay Keyser on April 21. We love Matt despite his affection for the Dallas Cowboys but we’re pretty sure his lovely daughter will be a Texans fan when she’s old enough to know better.
There’s no sign our baby boom is slowing down anytime soon!
Great Day Houston Producer Ralph Garcia and his wife are excited about the arrival of Rafael Anthony later this month.
Director Jason Santora and wife Devan are expecting a visit from the stork in June. They will name their daughter Adeline Jane Santora.
KHOU 11 News reporters Stephanie Whitfield and Lauren Talarico are due in July and their due dates are one day apart!
And the wife of KHOU 11 News photographer Chris Carr is expecting in September.
Yep, there’s something in the water – and whatever it is, we like it.
