HOUSTON — KHOU 11 News took home 13 Emmys Saturday night, including the big one for News Excellence.
KHOU 11 won in several categories and topped all other stations in the Houston market.
“We are obviously extremely proud of our folks who were honored this weekend, as we are of the many nominees who represented our station,” said Phil Bruce, KHOU 11 Executive News Director. “We’re especially proud of the News Excellence Award, which recognizes our entire newsroom and the product we all work on together.”
Of the 13 honors, seven were presented to reporter Kevin Reece, an impressive feat that included awards for General Assignment Report, Spot News, Feature News, Human Interest, On-Camera Talent and Writing.
Other winners included reporters Sherry Williams, Courtney Zubowski and Brad Woodard, photographers Kyle Porter and Todd Rogenthien, Director of Creative Services Dale Lockett and the entire KHOU 11 News Department.
