Seth Meyers will likely be giving ultrasounds "A Closer Look." The Late Night host announced on Thursday's show that he and his wife, human-rights attorney Alexi Ashe, are expecting another baby. The two, who wed in 2013, welcomed their first son Ashe in 2016.
Alongside his parents, Larry and Hilary Meyers, and his brother Josh Meyers, the comedian told his audience the good news and that he was "very excited."
However, Hilary shared when she heard the news, her son who is "sometimes a crier," was "sobbing." The reason for his tears? As Hillary explains it, Meyers was really invested in the baby's sex. "He said, 'because over a month I've had to pretend that I don't care what the sex it is, and I do care. I want a little boy..." she recalled.
"That's true," Meyers confirmed. "I really wanted a brother for my son because I was so lucky to have one."
Congratulations to the Meyers family!
