HOUSTON – The Houston Rodeo Parade is one of Houston’s most popular celebrations! Since 1938, the nation’s fourth largest city turned downtown into a celebration of Western heritage.

Dozens of beautifully decorated floats and marching bands are mixed between thousands of men and women on horseback or in chuck wagons.

Medal of Honor recipient and U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ty M. Carter served as grand marshal of the parade.

For the past several weeks, thousands of trail riders have made their journey to Houston to participate in this annual tradition.
