HOUSTON -- Hey cowboys and cowgirls! To "steer" clear of spending too much money at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, go on a Value Day.
Back by popular demand the Rodeo is having Value Days. They happen every Wednesday. On those days, certain seats inside Reliant Stadium are $10.
"Value days are tremendous, whether the economy is good or whether the economy is not so good like it is right now," said Leroy Shafer, Chief Operating Officer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, "but when it’s not so good like it is right now, people really, really need to look at this."
Trace Adkins will be entertaining on Value Day Wednesday, March 2 and Martina McBride on March 9.
Miranda Lambert will entertain the crowd on March 16. This Tyler, Texas native just won the Grammy for female country vocal performance for her hit song, "The House That Built Me."
If you want to build up more savings on Value Day Wednesdays you can play games for $1 at the Kids Country Carnival. Also, small portion food bites also cost just a buck at the Kids Country Carnival from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Inside Reliant Stadium you can get $5 value meals at concession stands.
Parking in the yellow lot and on the old Astroworld grounds costs $5 on Wednesdays. Also, on Wednesdays, anyone 60 and older and 12 and younger will get onto the grounds of Reliant Park for free. That allows access to Agventure, horse show events and the livestock show.
