HOUSTON—A 12-year-old Houston cowboy was all smiles Sunday night after his stolen horse was found safe.
Reginald McCullough’s horse, Spiderman, had been missing since Saturday night.
Reginald and his mom discovered Spiderman was gone after they went to see him at his stall near Homestead Road. When they arrived, they said the gate was wide open and the horse was nowhere to be seen.
After they noticed a cut wire fence, they said they knew someone had snagged Spiderman.
Reginald’s mom, Devora Myles, said her son and Spiderman compete in rodeos together.
"It’s just like a kid playing basketball with no basketball; baseball without a bat. You just can’t make it like that. This is his tool. It’s something that he needs," she said.
After a day of searching, family members said Spiderman was found around 7 p.m. Sunday, just off Lockwood Drive.
Three juveniles were reportedly being held by HPD in connection with Spiderman’s disappearance.
