Rob Kardashian under investigation for alleged threat

It never stops with the Kardashian clan: Now brother Rob Kardashian is under an uncomfortable spotlight.

The Los Angeles Police's Threat Management Unit is looking into whether Kardashian, who's about to become a father, made a criminal threat against someone, LAPD press spokesman Officer Drake Madison confirmed to USA TODAY on Thursday.

A report was taken in North Hollywood naming Kardashian as a suspect in a threat investigation, but that's all the LAPD would say. There was nothing about who Kardashian allegedly threatened, or how or why or who complained to the cops about it.

Kardashian's reps did not immediately return calls or emails, and he did not post anything on his social media.

TMZ reported that unnamed "law enforcement sources" said Kardashian allegedly threatened, via text, actor/singer JC "Pilot" Jones (Glee), a friend of Kardashian's pregnant fiancée, Blac Chyna. She is due to give birth next month to the next Kardashian grandchild, and judging from her Instagram, she can't wait.

Kardashian, 29, allegedly was upset about recently surfaced pictures showing Blac Chyna, 28, and Jones kissing, which led to gossip in HollywoodLife.com and other outlets that Chyna had cheated on Kardashian.

On Thursday, Chyna pushed back in an angry and profane post on Instagram that, among other things, accused Jones of spreading a false story that he is the father of her baby, and of resurfacing the photos to promote his single with rapper Trina. She fumed that the pictures were taken two years ago.

"The only reason we took those pictures other than me trying to be a good friend was so he could send it to his boyfriend to make him like jealous & say that he's going back to girls!," she wrote. "Mind you at the time I THOUGHT THIS WAS MY FRIEND and I didn't see a problem with it!!! ...I never had sex with him ! NEVER EVER! Nothing ever happened past these pics."

Chyna followed that post with another one in which she suggested she is the victim of extortion over her new emoji app.

As of Thursday evening, Jones had yet to respond on his own Instagram account.
