Playboy Playmate may face jail time for body-shaming Snapchat post

A Playboy Playmate accused of body-shaming a woman could face criminal charges.

Dani Mathers triggered outrage in July after posting a photo on Snapchat of a woman changing in a gym locker room. Now that woman has been identified.

Police investigating Playboy model's post of naked woman at gym

Dani Mathers faced widespread criticism after she shared the photo on Snapchat with the caption: "If I can't unsee this then you can't either." She later apologized, saying the post was meant to be a private message, and deleted her social media accounts.

Police Capt. Andrew Neiman told the Los Angeles Times on Sunday that the department received a report of "illegal distribution" of the image and that detectives are investigating.

The gym, LA Fitness, reported the posting to police. It has revoked Mathers' membership. The 2015 Playboy Playmate of the year was also suspended from her radio show gig on the "Heidi and Frank" show on KLOS 95.5.

Soon after the photo went public, Mathers released an apology.
