HOUSTON -- The Kemah Boardwalk is one of Houston's most popular tourist destinations, but with rides, restaurants and the water your budget can easily get off track.
However every Monday in August, Kemah Boardwalk is having Kid Krazy Mondays. It includes all-day-ride wristbands for kids for $8.99 and $1.99 kids meals at any Kemah Boardwalk restaurant.
"We offered it about three years ago," said Joshua Hairgrove, general manager of The Aquarium Restaurant, "The response this year has been overwhelming. It's been wonderful."
Loriann Gasaway, a grandmother of five, said the bargains helped her during a recent outing in Kemah.
"This is an easy way for me to be able to take all of them and afford to do something fun in the afternoon with them," she said.
Besides Kemah Boardwalk, there are at least 70 restaurants in the Houston area that will feed your kids for free or cheaply. Some are big chains, others are not.
