HOUSTON-- Ahh, clear skies and sunshine, when will it end? Well, maybe a lot sooner than you think. 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said today is going to be another beautiful Saturday, but there may be some showers creeping into the forecast tomorrow.

Temperatures today began in the 60s and are expected to max out in the low 80s. By the time the Rice Owls take on Tulane today at 2:30 p.m., the temperature will be around 78 degrees.
“This is what fall is supposed to be like, cool mornings, relatively mild in the afternoon and lots of sunshine,” said Gomez. “But every now and then we’ve got to throw in some rain and kind of spoil the whole thing, and that’s going to happen unfortunately this time on the weekend.”
It will be a little muggy today because humidity is high at 87 degrees and as the moisture level continues to rise, our chances for rain increase.
“We have been doing some great weather on the weekend,” said Gomez.  “But here comes Sunday, and some showers are likely.”
We’re going to see denser clouds, more humidity and a few sprinkles coming out of the Gulf of Mexico by Sunday afternoon with a 20 percent chance of rain.  The rain chances will increase to 60 percent chance by Monday’s rush hour commute. It’s going to be wet!
