'Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco engaged to equestrian Karl Cook

It was a very good 32nd birthday for Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, who received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend of nearly two years, equestrian Karl Cook.

According to a video posted to Cook's Instagram account Thursday night, Cuoco accidentally put the cart before the horse, shouting "We're engaged!" before she tearfully accepted the proposal.

"Well, after nearly two years I finally got up the courage to ask her to marry me," Cook captioned the video. "This is the best night of my life and I think the video shows it is the best night for Kaley as well."

After she remembered to say yes, Cook followed that post with a shot of the ring.

Later, he posted a clip of them dancing, post-engagement, in which he told his future wife, "The purity and grace of the moment are inexplicable, it is truly as though life were a balloon bouncing on the smoothest zephyr. Honey; all I want is to be a balloon bouncing, bobbing, and flowing through life together. You are my everything."

Cook, the 26-year-old son of Intuit co-founder Scott Cook is a Bay Area native and a professional equestrian who began riding when he was eight years old. His mother, Signe Ostby, runs Pomponio Ranch, the family's breeding and training facility, in San Gregorio, where Cook is coached by former French Olympian Éric Navet.

Since they began dating in 2016, Cuoco, a fellow rider and jumper, has popped up at equestrian competitions. In April, she accompanied Cook to an FEI World Cup event, marking her first-first ever visit to Nebraska, the home state of her Big Bang character Penny.

Cuoco was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting, whom she married on New Year's Eve 2013 and split 21 months later.
