The real TV anchorman who was the inspiration of the Will Ferrell "Ron Burgundy" character says he doesn't mind at all.
The movie is based on a newsman from the 1970s.
Mort Crim who anchored in Philadelphia said Ferrell saw a biography about his former female co-anchor, something Mort Crim did not like one bit.
Crim said he loved the Ted Baxter" character on the Mary Tyler Moore show and he sees Burgundy the same way.
“I thought it was good parody and that's exactly what ‘Anchorman’ is and so I not only don't take offense, but I'll laugh as hard as anyone," Crim said.
"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" hits theaters Dec. 18.
