“Ever wish you could go back to the younger you and say, ‘Don’t worry baby, it gets better,'” reads one caption from Chantelle Brown-Young’s Instagram account.
Growing pains are part of growing up, but Young describes her experiences with bullies because of the color of her skin.
The 19-years-old has a skin condition called vitiligo, which causes loss of pigment to the skin. There is no cure.
According to her Instagram account, Young is a "Vitiligo Spokesmodel," and she is making a splash in the fashion industry.
Young is a model and will appear on the upcoming season of America's Next Top Model.
"I loved myself. And with that, opportunities started to fall into my lap and I thank God for all of them. Try loving yourself," says a caption on a photo on Young's Instagram.
Young is the first model to have vitiligo on the Tyra Banks created series. You can catch Young modeling on the series this summer.
