HOUSTON – Rap legend Lil’ Keke held a listening party Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Bambou Lounge to preview his new album Money Don’t Sleep. The event was sponsored by Swishahouse and Hennessy.

For over 20 years, Lil’ Keke has represented the Houston hip-hop culture.

“It’s a blessing to be here and support Lil’ Keke and his music,” said rapper Bun B. “I am happy to be here.”

Around 80 people were invited to the private event, including female rapper Just Brittany.

“Keke is a good friend of mine and he always supports me,” said Just Brittany.

Hennessy provided free drinks for Lil’ Keke’s guests while his new music played on the speakers to influence a new generation.

Other celebrities at the event included Slim Thug, Michael "5000" Watts, Willie D, Kirko Bangz, Boston George, Brian Angel, Miss Mykie, TroubleSum, Lil’ O and Big Tho.

“This is just beautiful,” said Lil’ Keke. “I appreciate all the support from my city.”
