(CBS News) Oprah Winfrey found herself on the other side of the interview Monday, when she sat down with David Letterman at his alma mater, Ball State University.

The "Late Night" host struck an uncharacteristically serious tone in a wide-ranging and nearly two-hour conversation with Winfrey that touched on race, the abuse she endured as a child, and the history of their own relationship.

CBS News' Jeff Glor talked with Winfrey about her conversation with Letterman, a man she did not speak to for 16 years after what she called an "uncomfortable experience" on his show. Winfrey addressed the so-called feud and talked with Glor about leaving her own show behind -- for more, watch the video above.
