NEW YORK—New York City is now offering older residents a handbook for a vast array of services.
The topics include Social Security; elder abuse; senior housing and nursing homes; transportation; and prescription discounts.
The 78-page guide also includes cultural events. Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer notes that many retirees stay active.
Monday is the official launch. The Daily News says 1,500 people have already ordered the guide.
It’s being published in English and Spanish.
