Houston teen will compete on ‘Jeopardy!’ for $75K

CULVER CITY, California -- The 29th edition of the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament is set to begin on July 21, and one local teen is in the running for the grand prize.

William Golden, 13, is a 7th grade student at Harmony School of Excellence in Houston. He will be participating in the tournament with 14 other students, ages 13 to 17.

The teens will compete for the $75,000 grand prize over the course of the two-week event, which concludes with a two-day final airing July 31 and August 1.

“The Teen Tournament is the last event of Jeopardy!’s 30th anniversary season, which has been filled with wonderful, exciting moments,” said Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. “You’ll certainly want to tune in to this final event to see what this group of young, sharp contestants has in store for you.”
