HOUSTON — A former Bravo TV star's ex-boyfriend faced a Houston judge Thursday to answer charges of abusing her.

Dimitri Charalambopoulos was ordered to stay away from ex-girlfriend, Camille Grammer. She’s a former star on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the ex-wife of actor Kelsey Grammer.

Camille Grammer said back in October a verbal argument with Charalambopoulos turned physically violent inside a room in Hotel Zaza. She said he slammed her head against furniture and pulled out clumps of her hair.

He claims it was self-defense.

The couple was in Houston because Grammer was undergoing cancer treatment at M.D. Anderson. The 45-year-old finished chemotherapy for endometrial cancer earlier this month.

"I rang the bell at MD Anderson Cancer Center which marks that I have completed my Chemo and Radiation treatments. YAY!" Grammer tweeted along with a photo of her with her doctor.

Charalambopoulos, a 37-year-old bankruptcy attorney, is out of jail on a $5,000 bond.

A judge in California also granted Camille Grammer a three-year restraining order against him.

"I'm looking forward to 2014. I have a new outlook on life," Grammer told TMZ. "I had a really, really tough year in 2013, and I just want to move on."

The couple had been dating for about two years.
