HOUSTON -- Many gamers won’t be showing up for work on Tuesday since they’ve most likely been up all night playing the latest big gaming release.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” hit store shelves at midnight, and dozens of people waited in the cold at the Galleria-area Best Buy to get the new game.

The girlfriend of one shopper told KHOU 11 News she’s already expecting a hiatus from their relationship.

"He already told me he's gonna be out for three days,” she said. “He might go to his mom's house because the Internet there is better."

This newest Call of Duty features an appearance by former General David Patreus.

So far, over a hundred million copies of the Call of Duty games have been sold.
