O’Donnell’s representatives confirmed to People magazine Wednesday that the former TV talk show host is now dating Tracy Kachtick-Anders, an artist and activist for special-needs children at Galveston school district.
Kachtick-Anders runs an organization called the Open Arms Campaign, an advocacy group dedicated to the recruitment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender adoptive parents.
She has lived in Jamaica Beach since at least 2007. She has six children, five of whom are adopted. Four of her children are in special education classes, and Kachtick-Anders has been a strong advocate for increased opportunities for special-needs children in Galveston schools.
O’Donnell revealed in November that she and her longtime partner, Kelli Carpenter, hadn’t lived together in two years, according to People.com.
Kachtick-Anders said in November she was dating a high-profile woman and she planned to move, but she declined to release further details.
Kachtick-Anders could not be reached for comment Thursday.
The two were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Miami Beach on Tuesday, People.com reported.
