CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A petition to "We the People," a site set up by the Obama Administration to give American citizens a voice, is calling on the United States Government to revoke Justin Bieber's green card and deport him back to Canada.
As of 12:30 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, the petition had more than 100,000 signatures-- the threshold in which the government will have to respond.
The text of the online document reads as follows:
We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.
The petition was filed on January 23, the day the Biebs was arrested in Miami under suspicion of DUI.
In 2013, more than 100,000 people signed a petition requesting that the U.S. build a 'Death Star' like the one famously depicted in Star Wars.
