Country singer contestant Kellie Pickler is rocking a new look for a good cause.
The American Idol alum shaved her locks in support of a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer, according to her website.
Summer Holt Miller has undergone a double mastectomy and is now undergoing chemotherapy.
Pickler and Holt are hoping her story will encourage younger women to get mammograms.
In a press release on her Facebook page, she said she buzzed her hair to "bring awareness to the importance of early detection."
