To say 2014 has not been Columbus Short’s year is putting it mildly.
First he was booked on felony arrest charges in March for punching a man at a Los Angeles restaurant. (He’s being sued for $1 million by the victim in that case.)
Then there were the battery charges filed against the actor in April for allegedly threatening to kill his wife, which got him canned from ABC’s Scandal.
And now, People has confirmed that on Friday night, Short added to his growing rap sheet by by getting arrested on public intoxication charges in Dallas. He got into it with off-duty cops working security at the Katy Trail Ice House around 2 a.m. (Which brings to mind a life lesson imparted by another TV show: How I Met Your Mother. And that would be that nothing good ever happens after 2 a.m.)
Sigh. Where’s Olivia Pope when you need her?
