HOUSTON – Award-winning actor, director, writer and producer Robert Wuhl is back on the University of Houston campus.

Wuhl, who is best known for his leading role in the HBO TV series “Arliss” and his movie roles in films like “Batman” and “Bull Durham,” is showcasing a play he wrote on campus.

“Hit Lit” is a romantic comedy set in the competitive publishing world of New York City. Wuhl, who is a former UH student, is co-directing the play along with Steven W. Wallace.

The “Arliss” star loves sports especially baseball, but comedy has been the mainstay of his career.

Wuhl is also mixing professional actors with student actors as he prepares to take his play to the Queens Theatre in New York.

The play opens at 8 p.m. on Jan. 29 and runs through Feb. 2 at the Jose Quintero Theatre. On Feb. 2, there is an early show at 2 p.m. as well.
