Sacha Baron Cohen caused quite the stir at an awards show this weekend.
Selma Hayek, along with Grace Collington, the “oldest surviving actor to have worked with Chaplin,” were presenting Cohen with the “Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy” when the ordeal took place.
The 87-year-old Collington, who was in a wheel chair, gave Cohen a cane that she said belonged to Chaplin. Cohen took the cane graciously and began imitating Chaplin’s famous walk. The cane snapped in half, Cohen tripped, fell into Collington and pushed her off the stage.
