NEW YORK -- Jason Aldean's tour bus hit and killed a man in Indiana on Monday morning while the singer was on board.
Aldean posted a note about the accident on his WhoSay account Monday: "With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen." He added, "I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."
According to TMZ, Kennedy walked into the vehicle's path at around 1:30 a.m. in the Knox County area and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Aldean has a batch of tour dates lined up throughout January and February 2014.
