AUSTIN, Texas --- English rockers Muse and eighties favorite Depeche Mode brought the house down Friday night out at Zilker Park for day one of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
An average of 75,000 people per day are expected to descend upon Zilker Park this weekend and next for the music festival.
“We just saw Artic Monkeys and Vampire Weekend in the last hour before the sun went down and they were both awesome," said concert goer Drew Small.
Some of the music fans who’ve experienced ACL before told KVUE that the crowds seemed lighter than usual. The theory is that having the event spread over two weekends is making for a less crowded event.
“I dig it this year because there's less people and it's easier to get to things from a different perspective versus way back,” said Leonard Barba of Austin.
“I mean I love it. I was born and raised here It's crazy for the city but it's crazy good,” said Leonard’s brother, Albert.
