AUSTIN -- SXSW Interactive announced the majority of the festival's 2013 programming Monday as it gears up for the event this spring.
According to their website, SXSW Interactive said a list of approximately 450 submitted proposals were accepted. The list has been organized by category and displayed on the website.
The list features a wide variety of content that will be offered at the festival from startups to music, social media, art, film and more.
Festival organizers wrote, "the one common thread amongst this programming is massive creativity, which serves as the ongoing currency of conversation in Austin in March."
While 450 sessions of programming have been scheduled for next year, it is a reduction from the amount of programming that was offered in 2012. The organizers explained the decrease as a strategic, intentional move. According to the SXSW Interactive website, the goal this year is to "enhance the overall top-level quality of this programming."
More programming for the 2013 SXSW Interactive Festival will be announced Oct. 30 and Nov. 13.
