KHOU-TV, the Belo owned station in Houston, is looking for an outstanding anchor and reporter for our morning newscasts. You’ll need three to five years of experience anchoring and reporting in a medium to large market. Ideal candidates will be outstanding reporters in the field and on the desk, who thrive on breaking news and enterprise reporting.

You’ll co-anchor our morning newscasts and report for others. As a reporter, you must understand the importance of developing sources, breaking enterprise stories and writing compelling packages. As an anchor, you must possess superior copy editing skills, an energetic and engaging delivery and excel at ad lib, breaking news coverage. As a newsroom citizen, you’ll be expected to understand the collaborative nature of our business, the importance of representing the station at community events/involvement and the seriousness of getting it right. This position will consist of overnight and early morning work hours.

KHOU-TV, a Belo owned station in Houston, TX, is seeking an operations engineer.  Master control experience required and technical or two/four year degree preferred. Candidates should be highly motivated, well organized and have a strong knowledge of computers. Position is responsible for monitoring of digital and analog on-air signals, transmitter levels, segmenting and loading of programs in a file server, recording satellite feeds and dubbing commercial spots. Position is full time and must be available to work all shifts, which may include overnights, weekends and holidays.  SBE Certification and Master Control automation experience a plus.
