HOUSTON -- Byron Pitts, the Chief National Correspondent of The CBS Evening News, and Contributing Correspondent of CBS 60 Minutes shared his inspirational success story Wednesday at the annual Yellowstone Academy Speaker’s luncheon.
Pitts chronicled his rise from a disadvantaged youth to Emmy award winning journalist in his book Step out on Nothing.
The funds raised at the event benefited Yellowstone Academy, a faith-based, private school founded in 2002 and located in Houston’s Third Ward.
