HOUSTON -- KHOU 11 News spoke with two local doctors on Thursday who say passengers could get a cold or have stomach issues after spending days aboard the disabled Triumph cruise ship.

Doctors say symptoms would show up in the next day or two; but, neither doctor expects anyone to come down with anything serious.

11 News’ legal expert, Gerald Treece, says if you think you have a health problem because of conditions on the cruise or you're worried you might develop one, you need to see your doctor.

Treece says if a medical link to the Triumph is found, passengers might have grounds for a personal injury case.

Treece will be on 11 News Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. to talk more about this and answer your questions.

Questions can be emailed to gtreece@stcl.edu.
