GALVESTON, Texas – The rock group Tonic and country music star Lee Brice will headline the Mardi Gras celebration this February on Galveston Island.

Tonic, a two-time Grammy nominee, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 during the kick-off weekend of Mardi Gras! Galveston.

Brice, known for his 2012 chart-topping singles “Hard to Love” and “A Woman Like You,” will perform at 9 p.m. on Feb. 8.

Both concerts will be held on the Budweiser Stage in downtown Galveston’s Saengerfest Park, located at the corner of Strand and 23rd streets.

Galveston’s two-week-long Mardi Gras celebration will kick off Feb. 1 and continue through Fat Tuesday, Feb. 12. The festival is the third largest of its kind in the nation

This year’s event, the 102nd celebration, features 38 concerts, 24 parades, 20 balcony parties and five elegant masked balls.  

In addition to live concerts, Mardi Gras! Galveston will feature “Electric Mardi Gras” with the return of the Jagermeister DJ Stage.

The show, located at the corner of Strand and 21st streets, will feature continuous laser light shows and performances from DJs.

Concert admissions are included in the general admission price to enter the Mardi Gras! Galveston entertainment district. Advance tickets are available online for $10 each.
