The MLK Memorial Breakfast Celebrates 25 Years of Service

On Monday, January 21, 2013, the North Houston Frontiers Club will host its 25th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Downtown Houston beginning at 8:15 a.m. 

KHOU 11 anchor Len Cannon will emcee this year's event, which will feature actress/director Jasmine Guy as the keynote speaker.  

During the Breakfast, The Prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major Award will be presented to Rev. Leslie Smith II.  

The North Houston Frontiers Club is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) service organization, dedicated to providing educational and charitable assistance to needy minority students in the greater Houston area.

Net proceeds from the Breakfast are used to fund the North Houston Frontiers Club scholarship program.  Over the past twenty-four years, more than $1,000,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
