On Monday, January 16, 2012, the North Houston Frontiers Club will host its 24th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman will serve as the event emcee and the Keynote Speaker is Christina Norman, Executive Editor of Black Voices. 

During the Breakfast, The Prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major Award will be presented to Robert Mills, President/CEO, Frontiers International Foundation.  Cary and Clarease Yates are Honorary Co-Chairpersons.

The North Houston Frontiers Club is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) service organization, dedicated to providing educational and charitable assistance to needy minority students in the greater Houston area.

Over $1,000,000 in scholarships have been awarded over the past twenty-three years. Proceeds from the 2011 Breakfast have funded $28,000 in scholarships (7 four-year awards at $1,000 per year) for this year alone!
